Ryan Morales, DO
PGY-3
Ryan grew up in Zamboanga City in the Philippines before finishing med school at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, KY. He enjoys spending time with his wife (Jessica) and their two dogs - Oakley and Evie.
During his free time, he loves exploring new restaurants around Louisville. Guaca Mole over on Market Street is his favorite in town. If he is indoors he likes reading a good murder mystery book or playing board games like Catan. Outside of work he really enjoys playing on our resident beach volleyball team.

Savannah Schneider, DO
PGY-3
Savannah is a Louisville native but she completed medical school at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic medicine in Pikeville, KY. As you can see, she loves attending UofL football games (Go Cards!).
During her free time, she likes hanging out with her family and friends while taking long walks with her dog, Petey. She enjoys going to Churchill Downs for Derby events or watching horse racing during Downs After Dark.
Her favorite places to eat/drink in Louisville would be TEN20 brewery, Rumors, and Mojito in Havana.

Marina Shenouda, DO
PGY-3
Marina considers her hometown to be Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She went to med school at Edward College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She is a proud mom to many plants! Her hobbies include crafting, binge watching tv shows, and trying different types of charcuterie or coffee.
She also loves spending time with her family and being outdoors! Going on the riverwalk, big four bridge, or to Cherokee park are some of her favorite outdoor places. You can frequently find her at waterfront park where a ton of festivals are held throughout the year.

Abigail Gellert, MD
PGY-3
Abby is originally from Easthampton, Massachusetts but she completed medical school right here at UofL. She went to undergrad at UK and likes to cheer on the Kentucky Wildcats! However, she does stay true to her New England roots as she cheers on Boston's sport teams as well. She loves exploring all the local breweries in Louisville. Her favorite so far is West Sixth in Nulu! Grabbing a beer and sitting out in the courtyard with some friends while the weather is one of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoys exploring all the many shops and restaurants in the city. She's lived her for five years, and still has so many new places to discover.

Trace Kimler, MD
PGY-3
Trace is from Nashville, TN, attended the University of Alabama for undergrad, before returning to Nashville to attend medical school at Meharry Medical College. His hobbies include traveling and scuba diving with his wife, Michelle, and all things outdoors and sports. He is always game for hosting college football watch parties and also enjoys playing hockey on the weekends with a local Louisville league. Some of his favorite things to do in Louisville outside of hanging out with his awesome co-residents include trying new restaurants around the city and attending fun events like Louisville Bats baseball games and touring the bourbon trail.

Liz Armenis, MD
PGY-2
Liz was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she completed her undergraduate studies at Florida International University. She later graduated from medical school at Ross University. Liz enjoys traveling with her husband, going to coffee shops, and being outdoors with her dogs (Oakley and Cookie). During the week, she enjoys meeting with her co-residents to play pickleball or eat at a restaurant. You will catch her at Quills drinking coffee or Eatz enjoying some Pho. Liz is focused on pursuing a fellowship in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics. She is also interested in global health, Down Syndrome, and advocacy.

Phillip Chuong, MD
PGY-3
Phillip is a Louisville-Lifer. He grew up in Louisville, completed all his undergraduate and medical school training here and loved the city so much that he decided to stay for more to continue a pediatric residency. He is an avid sports and movie fan and would be happy to talk your head off about either subject. If you don't see Phillip in the hospital or clinics, you can find him on the pickleball courts playing with his fellow residents. Any questions about activities to do in the city, where to find a good pick-up game, or small specialty food stores, he is more than happy to help!

Lucia Puga Sanchez, MD
PGY-2
This is Lucia, one of our pediatric interns, originally from Ecuador. Lucia moved to Louisville 4 years ago and she fell in love with the community and the city. When she matched in our program she said “it was a dream come true!”. She is interested in advocacy, research, and Infectious Diseases. Lucia loves outdoor activities, especially to have long walks around Old Louisville and at The Big Four Bridge. Lucia loves to learn about other cultures and try new cuisines. You will find her at her place trying to replicate recipes she tasted previously in a restaurant. One of her favorite phrases is any question is a valid question. So, feel free to reach out to her if you have any questions.

Sagorika Bera, MD
PGY-3
Rika was originally born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Orlando, Florida as a 4-year-old and lived there until med school. She did undergrad and a master's program at USF (Go Bulls!) and went to med school at Ross University School of Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados.
Currently, she's reading fiction books to wind down after work (just finished reading No One Ever Asked and The Silent Patient). She also enjoys going to Bloomington where her partner lives and spending a lot of time with their dog Devi or working out and spending time outside especially as the weather has cooled down and the leaves are changing. After residency she hopes to pursue a NICU fellowship.

Kendra Haas, DO
PGY-2
Kendra is from Lexington ,Kentucky and went here for her undergraduate degree. She moved across the US to go to medical school at Pacific Northwest University and came back Louisville for her residency. She enjoys spending time with her husband (Patrick) and dog, (Archie). During her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and trying some of the amazing restaurants such as La Bodeguita di Mama on Market street or catching a musical at the Performing arts center downtown. She stays active with Orangetheory and her home gym and loves to binge watch her favorite shows like Brooklyn 9-9. Her main focuses in residency is wellness, which she is on the committee for, and has a career interest in Intensive care or emergency.
